REFLECTION

                Therefore, the computer hardware is not useful without the program or system that tells what computer machine should do. Computer software is necessary in using a computer and it offers lots of functions or services in the field of education. However, there are instances that we can be caught up by attractive graphics, video clips and etc., which is not good because we might forget their educational worth.

Lesson 13 “COOPERATIVE LEARNING WITH THE COMPUTER”

REFLECTION

            The computer is a natural learning vehicle for cooperative learning because it promotes cooperation within the learners working on the same tasks. Not only in the cooperation but technology can also be a tool to develop students enthusiasm and sense of belonging within a group who shares common goal. By using computer, every learner is given a sense if responsibility to do his part in achieving the goal.

Lesson 12  “INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY IN SUPPORT OF STUDENT CENTERED LEARNING”

REFLECTION

         Information technology is a great way in facilitating a student centered learning environment because it provides an opportunity for students to explore or discover. The learners will not only use a technology in their individual work but it can also be used in collaborative learning. There is really a big difference between traditional and  student centered because student centered uses an information technology which will focus on the learners participation or involvement in their own learning.

Lesson 11 “THE COMPUTER AS THE TEACHER’S TOOL”

REFLECTION  

             Computer can be a teachers handy tool in teaching because teachers can use computer as an information tool where in it provides vast amount of information such as the latest news, weather report and other important information. We can also send messages and information through the internet in just seconds or minutes. The teacher just need to guide the students on the proper use of technology in order to make it a tool for teaching.

LESSON 10  “THE COMPUTER AS A TUTOR”

REFLECTION

          The computer nowadays are really powerful that it can be considered as a tutor. However, the computer cannot totally replace the teacher since the teacher shall continue to play major roles of information deliverer and learning environment controller. Therefore, as an educator, we need to remember the proper use of computer in the classroom to ensure the an effective learning.

Lesson 5: STATE- OF-THE-ART ET APPLICATION PRACTICES

 
REFLECTION 

With the continuous development of technologies nowadays, educators should adapt and integrate this changes. We need to consider the appropriate use of State-of-the-art instruction with the use of IT in order for the students to see new levels of learning. Therefore, as an educator we also need to be computer literate because we are the one who will manage the classroom and the students learning depends on us.

Lesson 4: BASIC CONCEPTS OF INTEGRATING TECHNOLOGY IN INSTRUCTION

 
REFLECTION 

As a future educator, we should put in mind that applying technology in the discussion must be connected to the lesson. In introducing technology, we should also consider the students interest in order for them to fully understand the topic. Using technology can makes your discussion more meaningful and enjoyable.
